The Weaving Museum
For many centuries the weaving of the hemp was done in farms of the region of Chauffailles. The weaving of the silk commenced in 1842 and developed by 1880 because of the proximity of Lyon
The museum brought together all the machines necessary for all the different elaborate stages of canvas and cloth.
You wil see these machines which were used at Chauffailles from 1820 to 1930 and you will be able to buy for a few euros a souvenir attainable for our benevolence.
